What is a Character Arc

A character arc is the transformation or inner journey a character undergoes over the course of a story. It's how a character changes in response to the events, conflicts, and choices they face.
Types of Character Arcs
1. Positive Arc
The character grows and improves by overcoming flaws, learning lessons, or becoming stronger or wiser.
For eg : In "Kaalia" - a film by Mr.Amitabh Bachchan a coward becomes brave.
2. Negative Arc :
The character declines giving in to fear, hate, pride, or corruption.
Darr (1993) – Shah Rukh Khan as Rahul Starts as a seemingly shy and lonely admirer but turns into an obsessive stalker and violent antagonist.
3. Flat Arc
The character stays mostly the same but changes the world or others around them by sticking to their beliefs.
Chak De! India (2007) – Kabir Khan (Shah Rukh Khan) A former hockey star disgraced by false accusations of betrayal is assigned to coach the Indian women’s hockey team, a group with internal conflicts and no unity.
