Please read the following Rules and Regulations carefully before participating in our Story Writing Competition and Short Film Competition.
By entering the competition, you agree to abide by these rules.
1. Eligibility
1.1 The competition is open to participants of all ages and backgrounds.
1.2 Participants must provide their correct name,valid email id, and active WhatsApp number during registration.
1.3 A mandatory non-refundable one time membership fee has to be paid before the participant can take part in the competition. Once the membership fee is paid a membership Id is automatically generated which makes it difficult to adjust, hence the non-fundable procedure. The membeership cannot be transferred or cancelled. The participation fee will be different for different competitions and will be informed during the participation process.
1.4 Employees of Urja Media and Entertainment and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
2. Submission Guidelines
2.1 All entries must be original and created solely by the participant. Plagiarized or AI-generated content will be disqualified.
2.2 Story writing submissions must be in PDF Format (maximum size limit 1024 KB - 1 MB ) and the length of a short story would be 2,500 to 4,000 words. INcluding screenplay the maximum limit will be 4500 words.
2.3 Short films must be in MP4 format, and must not exceed 15 to 20 minutes.
2.4 Multiple entries are allowed by paying the competition fees.
2.5 Submissions must not contain any offensive, defamatory, or illegal content.
3. Competition Timeline
3.1 The start and end dates for the competition will be mentioned on the website. Late submissions will not be considered.
3.2 Any extensions or modifications to deadlines will be communicated via email and WhatsApp.
4. Judging Criteria
4.1 Entries will be evaluated based on originality, creativity, storytelling, technical quality (for films), and adherence to the theme.
4.2 Judges appointed by Urja Media and Entertainment will have the final decision on winners.
4.3 No disputes or appeals regarding the judging process will be entertained.
5. Prizes and Announcements
5.1 Winners will be announced on the website and notified via email and WhatsApp.
5.2 Prizes will be awarded as per the competition details. In case of any changes, participants will be informed.
5.3 If a winner fails to respond within 7 days, the prize may be forfeited and awarded to another participant.
6. Intellectual Property Rights
6.1 Participants retain ownership of their submissions. However, by submitting their work, they grant tattvamedia.in and Urja Media and Entertainment a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, publish, and promote their work in connection with the competition.
6.2 Participants are solely responsible for ensuring that their submissions do not infringe upon any third-party copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights. In the event of any dispute or legal claim arising from such infringement, the participant shall bear full responsibility, and Urja Media and Entertainment shall not be held liable or be considered a party to the dispute.
7. Disqualification and Termination
7.1 Any violation of the competition rules may result in immediate disqualification.
7.2 Any form of cheating, including using AI-generated content, submitting previously published work, or attempting to manipulate results, will lead to disqualification.
7.3 Urja Media and Entertainment reserves the right to cancel or modify the competition at any time without prior notice.
8. Liability Disclaimer
8.1 tattvamedia.in and Urja Media and Entertainment are not responsible for any technical issues, lost submissions, or damages arising from participation in the competition.
8.2 Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Urja Media and Entertainment from any claims or liabilities related to their submissions.

Finality of Judgement

Refund Policy
Participation and membership fees once paid are non-refundable, regardless of any dissatisfaction, disqualification, or personal opinions about the judging or competition process.
Restriction on Public or Documented Reviews
Participants are not permitted to publish, circulate, or submit documented reviews, complaints, or grievances related to the competition, judges, or results.
Jurisdiction Clause
Any legal dispute arising in relation to the competition or its results shall be subject exclusively to the jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. If a case is filed elsewhere, it must be transferred to Mumbai jurisdiction without exception.
Non-Liability of Urja Teams
No individual or team member from the Advisory Board, Management, Admin and Operations, Design and Strategy, or Review Panel can be held personally or professionally responsible for any grievances, misgivings, or perceived shortcomings related to the competition or its outcomes.
Accountability Clause
The sole person who may be legally addressed in the event of any issue will be the CEO and Managing Director of Urja Media and Entertainment. No other member or employee of the organization shall be held liable in any form.
