Well...Writing a story is a lot like water. Like water, your story can be made to carve its path and shape narratives that can reflect your own or other's experience.
A story starts with an idea...and ideas, sometimes flow like a calm stream...smooth, gentle, easy to follow. Other times, they drip slowly, one drop at a time, testing your patience. And occasionally… it pours. Words come rushing in, characters jump out of nowhere, and you just try to keep up without spilling everything.
JAL TATTVA is for just anyone. You don’t need to be a professional to write a story. You can be a student, a bank employee, a homemaker, or even a retired teacher. Just take a little time, pick up a pencil, pen, laptop, desktop or even your phone, and write what you feel. Write the way you speak. Share what you feel. Your voice, your words, your way!

Shakti- Jal Tattva welcomes students, professionals, freelancers, and anyone with a passion for storytelling to participate. If you have a story waiting to be told, this is your stage.

Stories can be written in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada. A translation in English or Hindi for regional language will preferred by not a compulsion.
✅ Originality:
The submitted story must be original and unpublished.
No adaptations or plagiarized content will be accepted.
✅ Format & Word Limit:
Short stories should be between 2,500 to 4,500 words.
The story should be engaging and suitable for a short film adaptation (15-20 minutes).

Our team of experienced writers will provide you with a detailed analysis of your story, along with hints to improve.
If your story is selected, we may turn it into a short film.
In case of the review panel rejecting your story, you will be allowed to revise and re-submit your story 3 times.
Selected stories may be consolidated and maybe published as a book.

Login to your dashboard, enter the relevant details and paying the registration fees you will be given access to upload your story. The format etc. will be provided on your dashboard.
